Five houses

Five people of five different nationalities live in the first five houses of a street. Each house has a different colour roof. Each person has a favourite animal and a favourite drink (all different of course). The people all have different careers.

Clue 1 : The English person lives in a house with a red roof, and the dog belongs to the Spanish person.
Clue 2 : The inhabitant of the last house drinks lemon juice. The roof of the previous house is black.
Clue 3 : The French person drinks chocolate, and the carpenter breeds rats.
Clue 4 : The writer lives in a house with a yellow roof, and doesn't drink milk.
Clue 5 : The person in the middle house drinks milk.
Clue 6 : The German lives in the first house, and the neighbour's roof is blue.
Clue 7 : The doctor lives next door to the person who owns a parrot.
Clue 8 : The writer lives in the house next to the person who owns the goat.
Clue 9: The musician drinks orange juice, and the Japanese person is a footballer and only has one neighbour.
