Osiris, god of death, married his sister Isis. Osiris was good, wise, affectionate and loved. His brother Seth, god of violence, was bad, jealous and he killed Osiris. Helped by the god Thot, Isis, deeply unhappy and revolted, raised her son Horus. As soon as possible, Horus decided to avenge his father and face his uncle Seth.
During a cruel fight, Seth pulled out Horus' eye and cut it in six pieces. A divine tribunal met, Seth was banned and became a damned god. Thot, the accountant lunar god, had the responsibility of piecing together Horus' eye, the wadjet, which became the symbol of the victory of Good over Evil.
Horus was usually represented as a man with a falcon's head. So the wadjet was: a man's eye and a falcon's eye.
